Around the same time last year, I revealed some free to play Android games I have in my regular rotation. Now, keep in mind, I’m not sitting around all day playing these games. While they’re certainly addictive, I dabble a little here and there when I’m trying to waste a few minutes. Sometimes, it’s while I’m sitting in the waiting room at the Doctor’s office, or something like that.

A few of those games are still in my rotation, so if you want to know what they were, you can check out my previous post.

There are quite a few Android games that have released since then that I’ve been spending time with. I figured it’s been long enough that can I talk about some of the other great games you can play.

If you’re looking for a good little time sink that you can waste a few minutes on here and there, you can’t go wrong with one of these.

Free Android Games I’ve Been Playing

Five should just about do it for now. If my rotation changes or I discover any other games, I’ll put together another one of these.

War of Crown

War of Crown gameplay

This strategy game is akin to Final Fantasy Tactics and just had a global launch this week. I enjoy it, but it’s far from perfect.

Transformers: Forged to Fight

Transformers Forged to Fight

If you’ve ever played Marvel: Contest of Champions this game is pretty much the same exact thing, except with Transformers. I don’t need to tell you how awesome Transformers are.

Dynasty Warriors: Unleashed

Dynasty Warriors Unleashed Gameplay

Dynasty Warriors is the shit. This is a mobile game that has a lot of similarities to the recent Dungeon Hunter titles. You collect heroes, level them up, and beat asses. What more could you ask for really?

DC Legends

DC Legends Gameplay image

Legends is a turn-based mobile game cashing in on the DC universe. You can collect DC heroes and villains and fight until your fingers bleed. At launch, game content was a little scarce but there’s so much more to do now.

Monster Super League

Monster Super League gameplay

When I want my Pokemon fix I fire up this game. It has a cutesy art style (I can’t believe I just fucking used that word) and there’s a ton of content. This one will keep you busy for a while.

I recently picked up a cheap Chuwi tablet to play games on. I found that I was wearing down the battery on my smartphone much too fast, and when I needed it for other things – like texting or calling – I was low on juice. Plus, I can bring the tablet with me wherever I go and play games.

If you want to know what model I chose and what I think about it, head on over to my review on Techigar.

What do you think of the list? Did I miss any great games you would have included here? Have you played any of these yet?
