Holy shitballs it’s been a while since I did one of these, but I figured it was high time I get back to it. There are a lot of games that recently came out so it’s worth mentioning what I’m up to. Interestingly enough, I’m not really playing many new games.
Anyway, let’s get to it bitches.
Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited
To be honest, I’ve actually been trying to get a Vulgamification — that’s my version of a review for you folks that don’t know — written for a while now. Unfortunately — or fortunately if you like this kind of thing — it has way too much content, enough that there’s no way I could ever power through. It’s taken me quite a while to get to where I am, and it’s going to take me just as long — if not longer — to finish up. That’s fine with me though, I love expansive games like this especially when they can keep my attention.
If you’re not familiar with the Disgaea series, they’re tactical, turn-based RPGs similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. They also happen to be filled to the brim with content. If you’ve never played a Disgaea game then you should probably get on that. Unless, of course you hate tactical, turn-based games then — well just don’t fucking play one.
If you’re wondering I’ll be playing Disgaea 4 on my Vita. Viva la Vita!
Far Cry 4
I’ve been playing Far Cry 4 on my PC because well… it’s Far Cry, and it’s badass. There are quite a few folks out there who have issues with Ubisoft regarding how they handled Assassin’s Creed Unity, and I definitely understand since the AC franchise is one of my favorites.
That said, I’ve been having a blast with Far Cry 4. If you liked the previous games in the series you might want to give this one a try.
I have absolutely no idea when I’ll finish the game though, because I’ve only been playing a few missions per day. Don’t expect a Vulgamification anytime soon.
Freedom Wars
Since this game is exclusive to the PS Vita, obviously that’s what I’ll be playing this one on. It’s a monster-hunter-esque style of game that sees you fighting enemy prisoners and giant monster-like things to gain your freedom. I’m not going to dive into the particulars, because if you really want to know about the game you can get off your ass and do some research.
That said, it’s pretty fucking awesome and it’s a lot of fun to play. It’s intense though, so I need to play in short spurts and swap out with another game every so often. If you’re playing single-player with the AI — which isn’t too bad actually — the missions can drag out for a long time too.
If you’ve never heard of the game before check it out.
Going to Get My Game On
That about does it for this weekend. I’ll probably play a few other games here and there, because I rarely stick with one title for long. Since you already have my gamertags and profile particulars, you can pay attention to what I’m doing if you really want to be a creep. I’m just kidding, but it would be weird if you followed every single thing I did. That’s what we call a stalker.
