Just Cause 2 now supports multiplayer [mod]?

Every once in a while something truly epic comes along and flies under the radar. Just days ago, something like that happened and it blew my mind.

I can’t remember how many times I had this thought while playing Just Cause 2: “It would be so awesome if this had multiplayer like GTA.” Well, thanks to some pretty awesome devs the game now supports multiplayer through a mod. What’s even better is that you can pick up the mod for free through Steam.

That’s right, I said the mod is completely free. It essentially turns the world of Panau into one massive online multiplayer game. Since Steam is always having some kind of ridiculous sale on games (Just Cause 2 has been on sale for less than $3 plenty of times), it would be wise to pick this game up if you can catch it.

The multiplayer mod works just like an MMO in that you can download a client to connect to existing servers, but you can also download server software to host your own games.
