It just came out, and I mean just, so it’s hard to believe you can get it at a great price, but I’m here to tell you that you can, at a couple of places. First, what am I talking about? The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, of course! I know things have been hot-cold for a while with this one, with tons of leaks and mis-announced dates. But I’m super excited. For me, this was a game that got me through a lot of dark times. Enough of that, though.
I already know what you’re thinking. Where can you get it for less?!
I won’t beat around the bush. Fanatical and Green Man Gaming have it discounted, and in both versions, including the base and Digital Deluxe versions. Normally, it’s $50 for the Standard and $60 for the Deluxe Edition.
Check it out:
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Standard Edition (Fanatical) — $42
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition (Fanatical) — $50
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Standard Edition (Green Man Gaming) — $42
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition (Green Man Gaming) — $51
So, if you wanted to save like $10 or get the better versions for the same price as the standard edition, this is the way to go, folks. Green Man Gaming and Fanatical are both legitimate retailers, and they do not sell grey market keys, as far as I’m aware. I’ve never had any games or keys revoked that I’ve purchased through either store. I’ve purchased a lot of games from both of these places, including titles like Monster Hunter Rise, with the Sunbreak expansion, Hitman, Hogwart’s Legacy, and more. I also have the gold XP pack through Green Man Gaming — before they gave it away.
What comes with Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered?
If you didn’t know, because some of the marketing materials are confusing, the Standard Edition does come with all the previously released DLC. That means, you also get Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, Fighter’s Stronghold, Spell Tomes, Vile Lair, Mehrune’s Razor, The Thieves Den, Wizard’s Tower, The Orrery and the silly Horse Armor Pack. The Deluxe edition of this game comes with some extra goodies like weapons, exclusive skins and an extra horse armor set. All of those extra DLC packs for the Digital Deluxe version include quests to acquire them to, but I’m not sure how extensive they are.
Green Man Gaming has an XP system that you boost by making purchases on the site, so if you shop there regularly I’d opt for them instead. Fanatical is slightly cheaper. It’s all up to you.
