Newegg PC Gaming arena in headquarters with VR and immersive tech in view

Newegg Game Zone PC gaming arena is the ultimate hangout spot

As far as gamer pads go, or gamer caves, or underground hideouts, or game rooms, or whatever you want to call them, Newegg’s newest addition to its Diamond Bar, California headquarters frags most, if not all of them. Seriously, this space is bad-fucking-ass. Called the Newegg Game Zone, it’s a 2,300 square foot, cutting-edge PC gaming arena. It’s filled with PC gaming stations, console gaming stations, innovative tech, VR devices, immersive experiences, and a hell of a lot of RGB.

Built by gamers, for gamers, the space is a destination where “streamers, creators, builders, and innovators can experience the latest in gaming technology.”

It’s a damn shame I don’t live anywhere near California. Hell, I live all the way on the other side of the country in Florida, but I will for sure be there in spirit.

According to the press release, there’s a total of $200,000 of state-of-the-art hardware and technology tucked inside the zone. Mother of God, that’s a lot of tech.

Why would Newegg build something like the Gamer Zone?

Newegg’s mission here is to “bring people together through the power of technology.”

“As a company deeply rooted in the DIY and gaming communities, Newegg designed this space to be more than a showcase, it’s a hub for connection, creativity, and learning.”

It’s also part of the company’s newest gamer community initiative. The Newegg Gamer Community is a digital portal available via desktop or mobile app, where customers and fans can connect, share and explore the latest PC gaming news, hardware and trends. It’s also a forum where you can seek advice about games and hardware, like seeking help troubleshooting a particular problem you’re having.

Outside of that, the Newegg Gamer Zone will be used to:

  • Showcase new and innovative PC and gaming tech.
  • Host community, student, and outreach events and programs.
  • Feature tech workshops where aspiring tech and gaming enthusiasts can learn more.
  • A tournament arena where players can go head-to-head, maybe even to win some great prizes.
  • An empowerment space for local creators and streamers, giving access to professional setups.
  • Business and sponsorship collaborations for special events.

What’s in there, though?

$200,000 is a lot of money, and there’s definitely a lot of amazing hardware packed into the Gamer Zone. But what exactly will people find in there?

  • PC gaming stations.
  • Immersive stations including the $25,000 Cooler Master ORB X semi-enclosed gaming cockpit.
  • A VR mixed reality zone with a Virtuix Omni One VR treadmill, allowing full movement such as walking, crouching, and jumping, while seamlessly integrated with green screens and cameras for live streaming.
  • Racing simulators from Fanatec and Thermaltake with full cockpit setups, single and triple monitor setups, pedals, steering wheels, and quick-release systems.
  • Console gaming stations with consoles like Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X, and Meta Quest 3 VR.
  • Streaming and broadcast stations equipped with Cooler Master MasterHUB, BirdDog 4K cameras, Elgato Stream Deck XL, RØDE/DJI microphones, and webcams.
  • Peripherals from ASUS, MSI, Corsair, Cougar, ASRock, Fractal Design and more.
  • Networking infrastructure powered by Netgear and managed enterprise-class switches for seamless, low-latency gameplay and streaming.

Even if you’re not in the area, like me, you can celebrate with Newegg by participating in Intel’s Gamer Days event. It’s a solid way to get your hands on the latest hardware or PC gaming upgrades for less. It’s going on right now until September 14, so there’s still some time to save.

Man, I wish there were a way to get Newegg to build us all a gamer zone. Am I right?
