Emulation Gaming [Android]: Games that work great with touch controls

Over the weekend we took a road trip and spent some time in St Augustine. Long story short my fiancee and I were checking out potential wedding venues. It involved a two and a half hour car trip and lots of down time. That left me with plenty of time to get some gaming in, especially since I worked ahead for my other jobs. Why am I telling you all of this? Well, I finally picked up a few emulators for my Android tablet and started playing a bunch of old school (and new school) games. I realized some just aren’t very fun to play with touch based controls, which is what a tablet or smartphone offers. I did however, notice quite a few games that offered plenty of content and fun, and they just happened to work great with the touch based controls!

That led me to a great idea! This post will contain a list of all the best games to play on emulators, but with a slight twist. The games listed here work great with touch based controls! Believe it or not, I did plenty of searches before I took the trip and didn’t find anything like it. Hopefully this will help some of you get your game on when you’re out and about.

As I play more games this list will be improved over time. If you have any suggestions feel free to share in the comments below!

      Thanks for the comment!

With my HiSense Sero 7 Pro (7″ Tegra 3 tablet) I can get about five to six hours of playtime on a full charge. Obviously, battery ratings will differ for various smartphones and tablets. I haven’t noticed a huge battery drain from using the emulators, it’s mostly the display that uses a lot of juice. While using PPSSPP I have noticed that the tablet gets quite warm – just something to note.
